Bio: Principal
Takeshi Okada began his appreciation of space admiring the clean, natural beauty of the buildings in his native Japan. After studying abroad in Italy and Japan, he began his professional architecture training at the innovative firm Asymptote Architecture focused on challenging pre-conceived notions of space and architecture. He later moved to Gwathmey Siegel and Associates Architects, an award-winning firm known for its modernist aesthetics. He sought to round out his architecture experience working on commercial and residential buildings. After ten years of professional experience, Mr. Okada founded SENSEarchitecture to continue exploring the applications of space and sensory expression. Mr. Okada is a licensed architect registered in New York, New Jersey and Washington State. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
